3SFE Cylinder Compression questions

I checked the Compression on my "project car" and got between 155psi to 170psi on the cylinders. It was somewhat odd as they seemed to drop about 5psi each cyl. from the first to the last.

1=170psi
2=165psi
3=160psi
4=155psi

I checked each cyl. twice, and let the engine crank about 6 full revolutions for each test.

I couldn't find the listing in my Chiltons as to what the pressure is supposed to be for them, does anyone have the original specs on the 3sfe?

I'm thinking I'm not going to finish pulling & replacing the head, but I am going to adjust the valve clearances.

I got between 180 and 190 on my turbo camry a few thousand miles after the (questionable) rebuild the previous owner did. Those numbers sound a bit low, but passable for an old motor. I'm not sure what the specs are actually supposed to be.

spec is 142-178 psi or more.. no more then 14 psi difference between 2 cylinders.
