DIY Suspension Arm ( Trailing Arm) Bushings
My rear right wheel is making loud thumping noise when i go over bumps or uneven road. I jacked it and started pressing on the wheel- first left & then right. There is a noticeable freeplay in the bushings on the wheel side of both suspension arms. I called the 2 nearest dealers in my area and they both quoted me around $120-130 for each susp. arm and they dont sell the bushings separately. I was able to find that bushing for $45 which sounds little high(compared to the price of sway bar bushing)
So i was wondering if i can use 3M Window Weld Fast...(dont remember the whole name, its mentioned a lot on TN though) to make my own bushings, or at least extend the life of the current ones. I know many people use it for dogbone mount.
One additional question. My front inner tie end rod needs replacement. Is that an easy DIY?
