Clean your throttle body. Common problem.

It' really simple.

Go to your local auto parts store, pick up a can of throttle body cleaner (Valvoline makes a good one).

Open your hood. Follow the black plastic pipe that goes from your air filter box to the intake manifold. Where the plastic pipe goes onto the metal intake manifold inlet (throttle body), you'll see a hose clamp with a bolt/screw. Loosen this hose clamp with a philips screwdriver.

Remove the plastic piping from the intake inlet. Look inside the throttle body. You'll see the throttle plate with gunk on the edges.

Take some shop towels and place underneath the intake inlet (this will keep the excess throttle body cleaner from spilling).

You will notice there's a throttle cable that's located in this area. If you look closely at the throttle cable to what it attaches to, you'll notice that it attaches to a 1/4-circular bracket.

Turn this bracket clockwise and you will notice the throttle plate open inside the throttle body. Release it and you'll notice that it will close.

Stepping on the accelerator pedal will do the same.

Take your can of throttle body cleaner (with the straw attached) and liberally spray inside the intake inlet at the throttle plate. You won't need very much. You'll see all the gunk come off.

Remove the shop towel with the run off. Wipe around the area. Slip the plastic intake pipe back on to the thrttole body - intake inlet. Tighten the hose clamp,

Start the engine. It might sputter a little bit from the throttle body cleaner at first, but it will idle normally after a few more seconds.

Close the hood and you're ready to go..
