Here is my project camry. its a 92 SE 5spd with 115K. it has a light front hit and needs a clutch. i brought it home yesterday and hope to get started pulling the front end back off. i had to put it back together to drive it home. the core support is tweaked a bit and i'll straighten that asap. after that comes converting it to a rebuilt title from a salvage title. i have all the parts to fix it so i hope it goes quick. the other pics are of my 92 XLE. let me know what you guys think.
looks great. damage doesn't seem too bad either. but there is no passenger airbag on it?

thats a good question. my only thought was that the 5spd radiator and teh auto radiator were different. however, from the expansion tank lurks the hose to connect to the radiator for overflow. i also noticed that the radiator was a one core where as the radiator in my auto XLE was a two core. not sure why.
im actually north, on the lake. the zip is 44089. im 2 hours north of colombus. not sure on cincy though, i think i may be close to four hours north of you.

the later v6 didnt have a cap on the radiator (common leak point) i think it odd your xle has a radiator cap on the rad and not just the engine like the se.

^ and leaving it that way!
Our SE's (one 92 5spd Japan-made, one 93 auto US-made) both have radiator caps. Who knows how many changes they make mid-year, mid-model, etc., from vendor changes to design changes to... well, who knows.
One of the few upgrades I did with my 92 is a short shifter. I did some CAD work and had a local shop build a new one. MUCH shorter throws. After having one, a stock unit looks and feels like a row boat! See the picture below (forgive the dusty car!)
Oh, and I re-coverd the leather knob too. The stock unit was pretty much worn away (as is my stock steering wheel, you'll notice).
Anyway, just something you might consider for your project as you bring your new SE back to its former glory.
i do like that shifter!!! i started cleaning up the engine today. im looking forward to getting into the interior and taking care of that. on the radiator cap note, the hose that should connect to the radiator is cut and plugged with a bolt. makes me wish whoever did that would have done things right. i'll post a pic of those shenanigans tomorrow afternoon.
holeee shit!
i think about it... i saw a gen3 SE V6 at a small-town car lot back in the winter... and we stopped to test drive a fiero.... why didnt i look at it further.... GAH
Super find tho Mad props
