3rd Generation How much would you pay?

Hey folks.

As much as I love my camry, I think that it's time to opt for something smaller (I don't carpool many people anymore) and something more economic with a smaller tank (39 dollars for an almost full tank is absurd). So I was wondering how many of you would be interested and maybe how much I can expect to get for it.
Here are some specs:
  • 1995, I4 5S-FE with auto transmission and only 101k miles
  • New NGK spark plugs only 100 miles ago and new pcv valve at about the same time
  • WeaponR dragon intake for only about 1k miles with CARB certification on it
  • No weird rattles or anything from the engine, tranny, or exhaust, runs smooth
  • All electrics work without a problem. power antenna still works.
  • I built and sowed a nice armrest and closely mathed the color, clean headliner, etc
  • Body is white and paint still shiny
Only bad part is that it was involved in a fender bender on Labor day. My car was parked and a careless driver in a van who thought he could maneuver through a narrow street got too close and clipped my left fender and bumper. Fender and left of bumper was scraped, bent and slitghlty pulled out. His insurance is paying for the repairs. On tuesday night, an insurance company estimator will have a look at it. If there is no internal damage to anything, I am willing to continue the sale. Otherwise, rear bumper has a few hairline scratches that come with age.

So how much would you guys pay for a car like this? KBB suggested retail is over 6k...what can i expect to get though?

you would get more money out of it if you do a trade in, provided you have some negotiating skills

No way! I have sold cars for over 5 years and it is a numbers game! Sell it your self outright and then negotiate on a new or used car. Car dealers are in the business to make money not to give you what it is worth.

Gary

PS
It might be worth a lot less than you expect!

yeah.... thts what i am afraid of the most.

off topic a bit, how do the insruance estimators decide if a vehicle is salvage or not? i'm really scared that they may classify my car salvage cuz it's old.

Cost of repair versus value of vehichle. If repairs are 4000.00 and value is 3000.00 then they will total it. Most insurance companys are reasonable but they will negotiate. Also you may be able to purchase your car back from them.
