need help for info if the stock wheels more lighter then the oem aftermaket wheels specialy with 17".wondering because right now with the stock wheel the car is really nice on accelaration and if i put on 17" will affect on quick take off cause more weight?
planning just drop the car with eibach pro-kit and just leave the stock wheels.
Depends on the wheels you get. Wheel weights for a 17" can be as light at 12 pounds, or be as heavy as 30 pounds. Depends really on your choice of wheels.
if you want 17" wheels, go for some forged aluminium wheels ($$$$) or cast magnesium ones ($$$) either way, theyll probabl end up being around teh 7kg mark, and 1/2 the weight of cast alloy ($$) wheels.
note : if youg et cast magnesium wheels, get fully powercoated ones.

yes bigger rims = slower take off but saves gas when you're on the freeway...takes less to keep it turning once it's already spinning
eh....i'm gonna question you to that. lets say that the mass of the rims is almost the same. so lets say that stock 14" with rubber weight as much as 17" with rubber. if the rolling diameter is the same, then why would take-off be slower?

I had stock 15" steel wheels with stock hubcaps on my car. I can't remember what it weighed, but I installed 16" (cheap) Fondmetal alloy wheels to replace the originals.
It ended up weighing the same, so it was a wash.
There are plenty of lightweight alloy wheels out there. Take a look at this link.
thanks a lot for the info guys, i am going to search for the deep dish with the gunmetal black powdercoated with 16" for sure.what you think about black/gunmetal color? i think make the car look mean!!just love the accellaration with my 15" stock right and i know the bigger rims make the car look more nicer/aggresive stance.
thanks again for the input guys.
with the weight being the same,
smaller diameter = faster acceleration but at a bit more fuel consumption on the freeway (as youll be revving a tad highter)
it is a minute difference though.
the main difference will be the weight of the new wheel/tyres.
if you want the "looks" get a MINIMUM of 17" wheels.
if you want performance, then 17" would be a good size to stick to.
