Way to tell if ECU is in closed loop mode
I am looking at doing a piggy back EMS right now but I have heard that if your engine is in safety/limp home mode that it will not respond to EMS. I have a CEL on from my transmission swap right now but I dont think its putting the ECU into closed loop safety mode. How can you tell for sure if the ECU is actually in closed loop mode (pulling timing)? I have tried everything to fix the solenoid issue I even plugged them back in but the codes keep coming back.
