About the 2AZ-FE

Hey My 2003 Camry LE I4 has a 2AZ-FE Right?

Well i was wondering what other Toyota/Scions/Lexus's use this same engine. The reason im asking is because i want to see if i can mix and match performance parts. Like the turbo from a Scion and put it on my car.

I did a search and didnt find anything usefull. So if u dont want to answer my question and just point out SEARCH to me. then dont bother answering

thanks!

Solara
Highlander
RAV4
Scion tC

It's also used extensively in Japan on various Toyota mini-vans and the Harrier. But as far as performance, Scion is about it. It's the base model engine in just about every vehicle that it's used in (except the Scion and RAV4 - but soon to be just the base engine on the upcoming RAV4)

So if i bought these items that are ment for a tC would they work on my car?
  • Headers
  • Cat-Back
  • Air Intakes
  • Supercharger from TRD?
Would these just bolt right on scince its the same engine. Given that i may have to modify electronics to work with it?

No, you'd have to do other modifications to get them to fit. The engine is the same, but that doesn't mean that the placement of parts is the same.

And TRD doesn't make a supercharger for the 2AZ. They promised a release of one when the tC first came out, but never delivered, and no one is really sure whether or not they'll be releasing one.

Why would you want a tC cat-back? Why don't you just go to a muffler shop and have one custom made? You'll probably be spending just as much, if not less.

Glaring blue HID bulbs are NOT classy, and don't make your car look nice, no matter what that kid in the Civic told you.

yea i know, i was just giving examples. I would like to get tC headers if they will fit. And then get a custom exhaust done. My freind can do the exhaust system for me for free.

Do you think the headers would fit or is that a no-go....

So does anyone actually know what the deal is with the 2AZ supercharger? Doesn't Toyota usually release a supercharger for a previous Gen concurrently with a new Gen camry? So... would it be right to assume that with the release of the Gen 6 in the Spring, TRD will be releasing their Gen 5 charger?

Yes it is. The wheel base is the same 2700mm as AVensis. Avensis is 200mm longer, and about 65 mm taller.
