is wd 40 sensor safe? I mean O2 sensor safe. I would like to clean my PCV valve with it ( leaving the PCV still on the car)

because I will spray wd40 into the pcv valve to clean it.

but the pcv valve is easy to take out...and soak..in fluid.

how will you know it's bad or not if you don't take it out and shake it?

edit: ...and isn't it cheap enough to buy?

I used wd40 to clean my PCV valve. I think I used Carb cleaner on my o2 sensors

Why don't you just pull it out..literally, it just pulls out...1 second job...makes for a better clean too. O2 Sensors need to be un-bolted, but even then, its soo simple. But yes, WD40 is sensor safe.

I'm not sure if it is O2 sensor safe, but as others have stated, why risk it at all. It does take only a second to remove the PCV valve for cleaning or replacing. Use something to clean it like carb cleaner which is marked on the can "O2 sensor safe". PCV valves are cheap and very easy to replace. O2 sensors are not nearly as cheap or as easy to replace. IMHO.
