you'd probably know it if the capliper was seized....ie the caliper is actually stuck on the rotor when you pulled the wheel off.
id bet on the rotors just being messed up first, pads and rotors are cheap enough, buy a new set and see what happens. well, as long as you cant actually see if the caliper is siezed, im sure someone here will be able to explain how to test it.
