What kind of projectors are they? Not really a fan of angel eyes myself since they're all bling and no function, but it looks like you did a good job. Need some daytime pics of the setup.

I dont like the headlights though, they all all chrome they are not like the se headlights. And since the projectors are deep in the headlight, it reflecks light off the ground of the headlight making light go all over. I might get stopped, i need to fix it someway. Ill get more pics tomorrow.

By the way are those blue angels legal? They fill up the entire housing like u can see, i dont know if its leagal

That's why I blacked my headlights out when I put projectors in. Exact same reason. I used some high temp engine enamel spray paint by Dupli-color that I found at Meijers while I was doing my grocery shopping . It's rated for up to 500°F.

Or you can buy/fabricate some shrouds that cover up everything. The OEM E46 shrouds should do a good job if you're willing to dish out the cash. Or some range covers will work.

EDIT: yeah I doubt those blue angel eyes are legal either... well technically none of it is DOT approved but if the angel eyes are bright enough, they can attract the popo since blue in front of your car is definitely a no-no.

i can't believe i am still a newbie status. anyway, i also retrofitted a pair of x5 projectors in my se gen5 headlamps. i also blacked out the reflectors with engine paint that are 500F. Also blacked out the shroud(plumping tube from HOMEdepo). Now, there isn't any glare from the headlights. check my ride

Gen5

I had to revive this thread. I have TSX projectors which don't allow any light to escape out of the side. Is it still a good idea for me to black out the reflector housing of my SE headlights?

Gen5

Is there any precaution that should be taken or do I cover up the rest of the headlight with tape and just get a can of high temperature spray paint and get to spraying?

The light coming from your projectors can still hit your reflector and create glare if you don't black it out.
