If you sand down your glass lens, you'll mess up the light output from your glass headlights. The shaped glass is there to help aim the lights in a certain direction and pattern.
Output of the clear headlamps was disappointing (at least for me). It really didn't seem all that brighter to me at all. Just a little bit more spread out. That's why I decided to stop mucking around with halogens and go full HID. Don't get me wrong, the headlamps still looked a helluvalot nicer/cleaner on the outside, but as a driver, it wasn't that big of a change for me.
Well, i cant really vouch how much stock to the clear changed mine because my headlights were so screwed up. Both adjusting brackets were broken, yellowed over etc so I saw a HUGE increase
Yes its possible, I did it
Ah. Well that's somewhat different then. My left side headlight was only slightly yellowed, and my right side was basically brand new due to the accident mishap that I got myself into a few years before.
