Found my suspension noise problem! Where can I buy Strut bolts?
Basically my strut mount bolt ( the middle one ) on my passengers side is partially stripped. It keeps truning once its on. Where can I get the OEM bolt for this not the KYB bolt because that did NOT fit right on ANY of my struts. No junkyard around here has camry's.... seriously. lol
Hm, I dont think its turning because sometimes it feels like its getting real right and then doesnt. Either way, can I put a rubber washer or something under it maybe?
so it is the nut taht is stripped not the strut shaft itself. Have you tried calling your local toyota dealer. if you cantfind one at a jsunkyard you can maybe try some of your local parts stores. not Autozone and those type places but NAPA, Carquest and those type places. You may also check the phone book for a company that sells nuts, bolts and screws. I know there is one here in the Nashville area that I have had friends find stuff at. Just an idea.

PLEASE DO NOT GET RID OF THE OLD TN AS WE KNOW IT.
Does your suspension make sort of a clunking or popping noise when you go over bumps in cooler weather? Mine does...I'm pretty sure it's a combination of old struts and strut mounts. It doesn't do it in hot weather, like during the day, but in the mornings before it heats up it'll do it. I think I'll have to replace the entire strut mount, which sucks because they're quite expensive ($61 and $64 from tire rack, maybe they'd be cheaper somewhere else).
i can get mounts for about $40 each. My strut and springs are brand new, eibach and gr2. Also my rubber is new too, (all the rubber on the strut) so just my mounts, bearing and the plate below it are old.
