2nd Generation Cai

i really like what was done here with the custom built CAI but that was on a gen 3, i got an 88 L4 and was wondering if anyone has done one on a gen 2 before

i got a cai in mine but i didn't make it..and for the gen2 you need a AFM adapter too

if you cant buy one, ebay has em for about $25-30 USD, or go to an exhasut shop to weld a peice of flat to 3" tube for a lot less, but then ya gotta redrill it.

OD switched off, even when not in 3rd results in major power loss/rpm drop.

ya i was gonna use that but i know on that tutorial above he ran piping down underneath the car by the wheel well, what kind of pipe would i need for that (he used a intake for another car)

after lookin at his get 3 and my gen 2 it doesnt look very different at all in fact the places where i would be doing the mod look almost identical, is there a real difference?

i don't know if there is a difference except that in the gen2 there's a hole perfect for going into the fender and that's where the cai should run if you take off your battery and air box you'll see a hole and that's where you can run a 3' pipe for it or whatever size you want. and the AFM adapter

acttually it looks like my plans are gonna be halted for quite a while seeing how when i went to leave work an hour ago i was unable to shift into gear and when trying reverse i was only greeted with loud grinding, looks like im calling the tow truck in the morning =(
