When I was cleaning my disk I noticed there is something about the four suspensions. Some of the rubber in on the base of the suspensions starts peeling off. When I was brushing off some of the dust and sand on the front passenger suspension. Some of the rubber fell off. When I try to bent a little, it split into two right away. The mileage right now is 72258. Does that mean I need to change my suspensions now? I looked at some of the threads they recommend changing the suspension around 80k. (Correct me if I am wrong). Here are some of the detail pics that I took. Thankyou!
Total 7 photos. Sorry for taking so much photos.
The piece that fell out from the passenger side.

1) don't pull it off or brush it. it will peal off easily.
2) it is advisable to change it when u replace the suspension. if the suspension is not killing your ride, don't fix it.
I think 60-90k sound rite for replacement but it you have the money to spare, i say, just do it.
its ok man.. most cars dont have that rubber coating on it anyway... trust me ive been through my share... if you dont want it to rust, spray paint it a little.
its a spring seat between the spring and strut. dont worry about it.

What you have highlighted is mostly rustproofing falling off. And the rustproofing was applied on top of the strut itself.
Most people don't appply rustproofing to the strut, since it is a wear (replacing at 60-90K) item. These really don't rust out, so much as wear out.
You do show some of the spring bottom rubber seat starting to curl some. No big deal. Again, whenever you need new struts, have the mechanic throw in some new seats. Technically, Toyota calls them rubber insulators.
Struts, strut mounts, bearings, insulators are pretty big $$ items. If you don't have any unusual sounds coming from your front end, don't tear it apart on the account of some rustproofing coming off of the strut.

Bottom line:don't worry about it.
Thanks for all the information. Struts, coilovers, etc.... are big bucks. So I guess I need to start earning money now. Thanks for the advice

well most ppl have made it perfectly clear its nothing to worry about...maybe its just me but u also seem to have a hard time knowing when to actually change ur suspension, struts anyway. Just an FYI: push down hard on each corner of the car near a strut, if the car feels firm and it quickly returns to its normal position then its still good, if it bounces for a bit then its time to be replaced. The less bounce, the better condition and vice-versa. Also, listen closely to the sound, if u hear what sounds like water moving or gas escaping then its also probably a good time to replace, it will be obvious if u hear these things though since it will bounce quite a bit and be very easy to push on.
