Trunk Up after added Weight

I know that complaining about how my trunk doesnt open all the way is something small and trivial. yet something that i really want to think about. Is there a way without drilling new holes for the tension bars for the trunk to get open
someone said something about sticking some wood between the 2 bars in the back, not too sure about the details of that.
Cheers
Anshu

I did a search and came up with nothing extermely relevant, redp post was close but not the same

You might be able to switch your tension bars with one of a same model, but with a factory spoiler.

On my 92 Paseo without a spoiler, the stock tension springs threw open the trunk with force. The dealer switched one of them, and now it opens fine.

Get rid of those tension bars all together and put in hydraulic shocks.
