Here it is again....

I am nearing my 60K in my 2001 4 cyl Camry and I would like to take care of
most of the scheduled mtce myself (except may be transmission flush and
fill which looked a little intimidating to me after reading the threads here).

Spark Plugs: I saw over and over again that the two plugs which stand out
and recommended by the "pros" here are
Denso dual platinum with dual ground electrode and NGK.
I saw that Advance Autoparts has 4 or 5 different kinds of NGK
ranging in price from $1.90 to $9.98. Which one should I go with?
What is the gap needed for 2001 Camry? Will they set it for me?
I also saw that people here removing their intake and what not
to get to the plugs... This is the first time I am going to change
spark plugs in a car. Is is really that tough to take out the plugs?
I am thinking of changing the ignition cable too? Does anyone have any
pictures are step by step?

Timing belt: I don't remember if my schedule calls for changing timing
belt at 60K but how do I change this? Is the serpentine and timing belt the
same?

BTW, What generation of Camry am I driving?

Thanks

the more expensive plugs will perform better and are better for your car (imo. you get what you pay for w/ plugs) honestly though im not too certain about the gap spacing...you could check your current plugs. changing the plugs on a 4-cyl camry doesn't require removing anything the 4 plugs are right there in the front. some people on TN here had to remove stuff cause they have a V6 i think.

well i have a '00 Camry w/+64K miles, toyota dealership insisted that i change my timing belt too but i was told on here that the timing belt is good for +90K miles. oh i would not recommend doing your timing belt yourself it is a lot of work but if your do...change your water pump as well while your down there.

you have a generation 4.5 camry. the 4-cyl engine code is 5S-FE. btw i live in PA near pittsburgh where abouts are you?
