No.2 Speed Sensor

so i have a 93 LE that i blew the diferental in so i bought a 94 le parts car just for the trans and we pulled both motors this weekend and i was pullin my blown trans off of my motor when i realized that the 94 trans doesnt have the n0.2 speed sensor.....

so my questoin is if the plug is just left danglin ill it mess anything up other then throwin the 61 code and makin my o/d light blink?
and
is there anythin i can swap out of the other car like the ecu or sumthin to make it not throw a code at all?

The 94 trans #2 speed sensor is built into the speedo gauge itself.
I remember changing quite a few speedos for bad #2 speed sensors along
with the problem of having a certified speedo shop resetting the odometer
to the mileage indicated (State Law here).

As far if it will cause any problems I'd say as long as you have no shifting
problems with the replacement trans especially at freeway speeds, part throttle and climbing a hill it should be OK.

As far as getting it to not throw the code you would have to replace the main harness
along with the ecu from the parts car and the speedometer. Which is way too much work.
