Valeo Wiper Blades on TireRack for $30/pair shipped
This has been cropping up on some forums lately. Seems like TireRack is selling Valeo wiperblades (apparently I've been told they are of the same type that are put on BMW's, Lambo's, etc. and are very good) for $20/each, buy one get one free, and $10 shipping. So $30/pair shipped.
If anybody buys them, let us know how they turn out. The deal goes until the end of December I think. I'm interested to see if these are really as good as everyone says they are.
Oh and for the savvy online shoppers out there, you can get 4.3% cashback from TireRack if you're a member of FatWallet (join for free). It's a bit of a process to properly go through FatWallet's portal, but hey I don't argue with free money back.
I typically buy the cheapest blades I can. I've bought the expensive Bosch blades and Toyota inserts before, but it just isn't worth it. Teh rubber dries out way too quick that I end up buying a new set every other storm.
I have never had a blade last more than 3-5 months before they start drying out and unable to clear the entire window.
Typically around $5-7 / blade, so $10-14 for the set of cheapo blades. Bosch blades go for about $12-14 each, so $24-28 for a set.
I have not found Bosch blades to last any longer than the cheapies in this area. The hot summers, 120 deg F and 10% humidity tend to make blades short lived - the rubber part at least.

I presently work for autozone and we sell Bosch wiper blades that looks just like the Valeo.
('I'm not talk about the bosch micro edge")
From my personal experience they are very good wiper blades but, it cost a lot of money
I was trying to find a link for it on the autozone website but nothing turned up. The cost for each wiper blade cost $20.00 and up depending on the size.
The performance of the blades are well worth the money so, $30.00 for 2 valeo blades are a bargain.
Everyone who has either the bosch or valeo baldes are gonna fall in love with the way they perform and look because they don't look like your typical wiper blades. They stay planted much better up against your windshield.

i bought pretty decent blades from walmart and within 4 months, it will not clean properly. I bought the same set for my gen 3 and gen 4. Works great in the first 2 months. It is not peeling or cracking, the damn thing does not good during a rain / shower.
I am in Houston and FL.
I heard that putting or rubbing a bar of soap might help? dunno if that is true
I, as well as many other people have had the best luck with the OEM toyota inserts. Although it doesn't even come close to 120 here even on the hootest days it only gets to 95 or so.
I said I had a turbo SEDAN and it still let me buy 16" blades which are for the REAR. Not my fault for not paying close enough attention.
Edit: The site seriously is confusing tho. I was buying my 2nd site and didn't want to try to navigate through the whole thing a 2nd time. I just did what I did the 1st time again.
wow ive been switching between a pair of Rain-X blades for winter rain and some kragen Exact Fit blades for summer for a few years now. Hmm this offers expires in may...maybe if i need them then i'll get some. I think they look wierd (cos im used to the traditional style), but my friend has the high performance bosch ones that look exactly like those, and they're great stuff.
Definitely gunna bookmark this.

they're called Bosch ICONS. just bought a pair today actually and they're rather expensive, but boy are they nice and quiet. haven't had any rain or snow yet, so we'll see how they perform in harsher conditions.
