Wheel/Tire Packages

ive been searching The Tire Rack for some new wheels/tires for my 1995 Camry LE

since the default wheels are 14", i am considering upgrading to 16 or 17" ... however the 17" wheels seem pretty expensive compared to the 16" wheels

there is a possibility that i may also sell the car, so my question is this:

----

if i get 16" wheels with fitting low-profile tires, how likely is it that these will fit my next car?

and if i get 17" wheels (same question)...?

in terms of bolt patterns, is there a certain bolt pattern for certain makes or types of cars?

your camry i think has 5bolt pattern so im pretty sure if you sell your car you can take those wheels with you and slap them onto another car, ex a 95 nissan 240sx. but you also have to think about wheel offset and all that stuff. generally though it should transfer to another car with a 5bolt pattern. get your alignment done after you get wheels too

Get some 17's on ebay, and tires on discount tire direct. Most of the aftermarket wheels nowadays has a dual bolt pattern meaning if you have a 5 lug, most likely the wheels would have a 5x100 and a 5x114 bolt pattern so in case you bought a car that has one of those patterns you'll be fine, on the other hand you would also need to consider the backspacing, wheel offset and the size of the tires you have at hand before you could put the wheels on your next ride, you could always get the spacers in case the only problem you have is clearing the calipers. You don't need an alignment when replacing the wheels, only when you mess with your suspension

Let me know if there is a specific wheel you like and I can confirm the fitment. There isn't a safe bet unless we know what your next car may be. Send me a message to discuss the details or if I can help.

i am considering a 2002 Subaru Impreza WRX wagon or just an Impreza wagon

i believe the bolt pattern is 5x100

since my camry is 5x114, would this be a problem?

The bolt pattern would need to be the same and wouldn't work with the two cars.

you should just go on the tirerack website and select your car and pick the wheels.

i found what i was looking for ... the link above has a list of a bunch of popular cars and their bolt pattersn - if anyone else needs this, there ya go

the good news is, i could always sell my wheels for a Mustang, RX-8, 350Z, or a bunch of other really popular cars that have the 5 x 114.3 pattern
