Low profile tires

I have a 1998 Toyota Avalon XLS with 15 inch alloy rims and my tires are worn out so I need a new set. I am kind of interested in low profile tires to improve performance. What are some good low profile tires for this car? Also how much more are low profile tires than standard tires. Thanks!

are you looking into upgrading your wheels? or are you just wanting to replace your tires with some lower profile ones?

You may want to consider going to a larger wheel. You don't want to just cut away sidewall height on the factory diameter. This will add more gap in wheel well and reduce protection and load capacity of the tire. You might see better gains in just upgrading to a more performance geared tire if not increasing wheel size. Give me a call if I can help.

What do you think of the Michelin® Pilot® Exalto® A/S 205/65R15

And isn't that a preformance tire? Is it low profile?

Never had experience with those tires but michellin's are very good tires, a little pricey though compared to other brands.. and 205/65-15 is your OEM size so your not changing anything by getting it
