2004 Tacoma Tire Balancing?Need advice

I need new tires for my 2004 Tacoma and have found a dealer that offers all my favorite tires to pick from, the problem is I have Lug Centric Alloy Rims OEM and supposely will need a device called a Haweeka Adapter to accomplish proper balancing of the tires. This shop and a few others do not have or use this adapter and all tell me they have balanced alot of tires on these rims using a conventional balancer and all has been fine if anyone has an opposite opinion on this please respond. I thought to balance with Hunter Road Force with Haweeka Adapter would be the utimate mount setup for Tacomas/Forerunners not all shops have these items, except Toyota Dealerships, what to do?

The adaptor is used to hold the lugs in cases where the center bore is very large or lugcentric such as your wheels. Not all machines would have this piece but I believe most newer equipment would offer it as an accessory.

So its safe to say that my rims need to be balanced properly with the Haweeka Adapter or else problems could arise with tires being out of balance? This is the key question, most tire dealers tell me they can balance without the adapter and have done so with success with Toyota Tacoma Rims this is not the truth? My rims are Aluminum Alloy TRD style rims 16in.

If the proper size cone is available to secure the wheel, it should be fine either way. If a cone doesn't fit into the center bore or is too small, the adaptor would be the best option.

Ive read in another Toyota truck web that there is a special cone they call a Toyota cone or a Tacoma cone that will fit into the center hub of Lug centric Toyota rims so its a perfect fit,man getting the right tire than getting the right tire mounted and balanced properly is getting to be a real pain in the A** Im getting to the point where Ill buy the tires and just get the Toyota Dealer to mount, balance and align the front end for me,but then I lose the free rotation and Road hazard deals. Im ready for new tires these Rugged trails got 59K and are starting to feel it in the ride qaulity,I think Im going to get Cooper ATR tires either local or web whatever is easier and cost effective and have the dealer mount them.
