Gen6 can I take off tires from stock wheels and put them on new wheels?(and reuse sensor?)

I have a '07 Camry that came with al-cheapo 16" steel wheels with hubcaps.
The tires are decent 16" Michelin MXV4 Energy S8. (which I believe are about $110
each from TireRack) Since I've only put less than 50 miles on the these stock tires,
I obviously want to keep them. I'm planning to get Toyota accessory alloy wheels.
(also 16" like the steel wheels)

A couple of quick questions:

(1) Is it possible to take the tires off and put them on a new set of wheels?
Or will the tire be damged during the removal?

(2) can the tire pressure sensor from the steel wheel be resued on the new wheels?

Thanks for any info!

I'll let kyle confirm, but I believe the answer to ur questions is yes.

As long as your new alloys are the same size (require same tire dimensions) ie...215/60/R16.

The sensors should be movable and the tires should not be damaged upon removal and remount if done professionally.

Nodrogkam is right......you can reuse the tire as long as the wheel purchased is within the specified range. Most aftermarket wheels are now produced to accept the pressure sensors. You may double check with seller of the specific wheel to be safe.

Thanks!

Let's say I buy new wheels from TireRack, can my Toyota dealer's service dept remove
the old TPMS tire pressure sensors and re-install them on the new wheels? Or is there a
chance for the sensors to break during removal?

Thanks!

I suppose there is always a chance of breaking something....but they should be able to swap sensors without problems.
