Question repairs/ replace tires cost more due to sensors??

Hi Im a new yaris o8 sedan basic owner and wonder if these tire sensors will make trouble finanacially...I mean will it be a pain when I need new tires or a tire repair (nail in it)?

Does the standard mechanic or rather tire shop (not toyota) know how to deal w/ new tires or repair w/ these tire sensors? (I mean if sensors are fine and I just need tires or a repaired tire).

Thanks!! :O)

Tires would be able to be replaced and repaired as normal and most shops should be able to service without issues.

ya, should be no worries. I believe the sensor is attached to the flat area between the outer and inner rim. Only time you should really worry about them is if you got aftermarket wheels and wanted to take the sensors off and put them on the new rims. Even then, it should be very simple.

the sensor is in the valve stem and monitors tire pressure... if a tire guy breaks one when changing tires... the shop buys you a new one. simple... if the rim is damaged... they vuy you a new one.

cause your supposed to be able to service tire w/o breaking shit

Well in theory yeah they shouldnt break crap, but...Ive had crappy experience w/ many dealers and or indiv garages not telling when they break stuff or plain foul up.

But since it sounds like its no big deal Im not too worried about it.

Its pretty easy to tell if they break a tire pressure sensor as the low tire light will stay on constantly. They would have to be complete morons to try and give you the car back like that if the light wasnt on before.
