Tire Pressure

I have an 07 Tacoma Sport doublecab and put some 285/70/17 Nitto Terra Graplers on it. 6 months later the tire pressure light now comes on and i can not get rid of it. I am running 50psi of pressure and the dealership told me to run 35 and the light should go off but i am worried it will mess up tires since the max presure is 80psi and that is why i am running 50psi to be safe. What is everyone else running with these tires?

You could live with the light or lower it down and see what happens. 30-35 psi would carry the load requirements of the truck but may cause some minor shoulder wear issues. The center of the tire may not be stiff enough related to the shoulders which sit directly below the stiffer E sidewalls. Handling may also end up a little spongier than what you have seen at the 50 range. 35 would be ok but these are some things to look out for.
