How Wide Can I Go on a Gen4 Camry ?

Hi - I'm looking into getting rims for my 97 Camry. Everything I see thats 'recommended' for the Camry is no wider than 7.5"

Is it possible to go 8" ? I mean, I've seen a couple Camrys on this site that have wheels that wide ... what sort of offset range should I be looking for ?

EDIT: If found out that the 18" wheels I want have a 45mm offset. Stock on the Camry is 35mm I believe.

im going 8 inches wide with 45mm offset and getting 3mm spacers (probably rear wheels only) with crossed fingers. LOL

You should be ok. Are you lowered? I have 8.5" wheels on my gen 3. I'm lowered about 2", my wheels have a +40 offset and i'm using 5mm spacers. I did however need to roll my rear fenders, but only cause i'm dropped.
