inflate tire when "COLD" - but should I do it in my garage or outside?
I know I'm supposed to inflate my tires to the proper level
when the tires are cold.
However, I'm confused as to what "COLD" really means.
For example, the temperature in my garage is 60 to 65 degrees in the winter.
(when the outside temperature is about 35 degrees or lower) This is about
35 degrees of difference. Based on what I read on TireRack's website, that
every 10 degrees is about 1 PSI... so 30 degrees is about 3 PSI. That seems
like a pretty big difference to me... Should I check the tire pressure when
I wake up in the morning, while the car is still in the garage? Or should I
leave the car outside and check the pressure in the morning?
Also... weather has been pretty crazy lately... last week it was in the low
70's... but two days ago it was 25 degrees.... then this morning it went up
to 62 degrees again.... with such a wide temperature range within days,
should I check/adjust my tire pressure on a daily basis to compensate for
the changing temps?
Thanks for any advice!
