Mesa tire (?)

i'm a noob re 4x4 and lift kits and tires. heckle, noob all the way around.

so the wifey has this rig (see sig). twice i've noticed a tire being low and have taken it down to get checked. these tires were running w/ no air. still they held up the truck. they realy don't show any bulge when low. the tire guy says he has never heard of 'em, but some tires for off road can do this (?). can't find anything on google. are these kind of tires safe for "on road" driving? i assume there good for damaging a tire when off roading and getting you back home. but what about highway speeds?

ty, igo

Can you post a picture of the tire and a picture of the side wall? I haven't heard of a Mesa Tires, it may be a private lable tire. Does the size have a letter after it? "D" or "E"?

I'm sure they are a private label for someone, I'm just not sure who.

If you have driven on them flat, even for a short period of time, I would have them inspected. When you drive on a tire that is flat, the weight of the vehicle can pinch the tire against the road and can actually cut the inner side wall. A lot of times this can't be seen from the outside of the tire so it is important to have the tires dismounted for a full inspection. This type of damage can lead to bubbles in the side wall which can lead to a blow out. A reputable shop will show you where the damage is if there is any.

If we have a store in your area take it there. They will be happy to help you out.
www.tires.com has a store locator.

Hope this helps some. Good to hear you are concerned and asking these questions. A lot of people take don't give tires the attention they need to keep you and your family safe.

ty sir,
the tires have not been driven "flat" (on the rim). and they were inspected as soon as i notice a little pulling to one side when driving. it turns out that these have been stored for a while. no tire rot, but the beads have a lot of rust on them. i've had the two front tires that went to 0 pressure dressed with wire wheel, wd40 and re mounted. will have the others check in the next few days.
ty again sir.
