Michelin X Ice for Corolla

I've found a set of used X Ice snows in great condition, one season old. A little research tells me this is a discontinued tire, now replaced by X Ice II. If I needed to get a replacement in the case of failure of one tire, can I use the later model? Thanks for any feedback, including any experience you have with the tires.

If something happens to one, we'd recommend purchasing two new ones at least. Mounting two new ones on the same axle will help keep the vehicle balanced. This is important in normal conditions and especially important in snow and ice conditions.

if they re just for the winter season (assuming you dont have year round ice/snow) then just buy the "II" tire as needed. you wont be racing it in the snow so no biggy if one of the 4 is new, and for the most part winter tires will get little wear.
