Discount Tire Direct has obtained some FREE evaluation brakes from the friendly folks at EBC to launch its new line of premium brake pads. For the next three weeks 3 lucky forum members will win a set of Yellowstuff Front Brake pads. (1 winner per week for 3 weeks)
YELLOWSTUFF
High friction upgrade sport and race brake pads for fastest street use and occasional track use.
We are sure you will be delighted with the quality of these fine components manufactured in the UK by EBC brakes and now available on-line from Discount Tire Direct. DTD is now showcasing the entire EBC Brakes pad and rotor range available for two day delivery across most of the United States.
To be eligible all you have to do is post in this thread, tell us what YOU need from your brakes or what needs to be improved on the brakes you have now.
The first drawing will be Friday October 2nd, 2009. Good luck!
I'm tired of the performance of the stock brakes with my aftermarket wheels and tires. They were fine with the stock wheels, but now I need some improved stopping distance and maybe a little less brake fade also. Please, I really need some better brakes!!
By the way, what are the part numbers for my car for both the pads and rotors, front and rear?

The best place to find part numbers is here, just download the 2008 USA Automotive catalog and search by vehicle: EBC Brakes and Rotors catalog

I'd just like better repetative braking with less fade. Brake dust I can deal with. Functionality before looks! Who wants to look good when you can't stop well on a track!
And I've used EBC Pads before. Great quality.

5 Lug Corolla WHAT?
^can't really see pads... but yes. functionality before looks indeed.
as for my needs and wants...
i want a set of pads that will hold up to my 200 mile commute (including stop-and-go and sudden panic stops from distracted/drowsy drivers) without signs of fading, as well as hold up to occasional autocross use.
No brake shoe fitment for those with rear drum brakes?
What options do we have as far as having a rear set to
complement the front EBC pads say on an '08 Corolla??
