Cam2X, I figured you could help me out on this one. I wasn't sure which board to post it on, the 2005+ Tacoma, or this one. I obviously chose this one.
MOVING ON. I have always gotten every audio device I have ever bought professionally installed. I figure if they eff up, they have to fix it at no cost to me. If i eff up, well, then im screwed. I have a sub and amp and tomorrow i am buying 4 Ga. wiring kit and a box, and hooking up all that shizznat myself. I looked at the radio tonight to see if I could get a jump on my work, and I have no freakin idea how to get it out. Can you help me with that cam??? Also, i have pretty basic wiring knowledge, but if you have anything you think I should know, don't hesitate to tell me as this is my first install.
lol, it's been posted a few times, and there is even a pictoral how to.
but here's the quicky version. Get a butter knife or metal spatula or something. Slide it under the AC control panel. Pop up that panel(without scratching the dash). You will then see 4 10mm bolts. Take out those 4 bolts and the radio will pop out.
Are you putting in a new headunit? If not, does your amp have speaker level inputs? If not you'll need an LOC www.davidnavone.com
Do you guys know where the stock ground is located at? Meaning if its a good ground or decent i would say. If not, i have to go back and make a new ground for my HU.
I don't think there's any problems with the stock ground. Although, that might be why you were getting alt whine, try it somewhere else and see if that helps.
(btw I don't have ESP, we were talking about this earlier )
