New system

Hey i just had pretty much my entire system stolen which imcluded my deck amp and sub. Now i had average price equipment in my car. Right now all i have hooked up are 2 6.5" speakers in teh front and and 2 6x9" in the back all are 2 way pioneer. Now i am going to buy a JVC MP3 CD Car Deck (KD-LH300).

Now the question ii need help with is what is a decent priced amp that i should buy with this set up. I was also thinking abotu getting 2x10" subs and not sure what brand to get. I have about 500-600 to play with. Any suggestions?

Alarms r no use. If a thief really wants to steal your system he/she will find a way everytime. My advice is be reasonable about where and when u play your system(not saying that ur unreasonable).

Theft is the same either way. When an alarm goes off do u really think anyone cares? They don;t look to see which car is going off they just go about their day. Thats y even the stupidest ppl can steal from a car cuz no1 cares.Alarms are a waste of money in my opinion.

Wow.

WOW.

Should I even bother to write an eloquent response countering your RIDICULOUS claim? First, you bash eD and then you say this? Y'know what -- I'll let it slide. I thought you were a fairly knowledgeable/intelligent person when it came to car electronics -- now I don't.

First off, I'd shop around for a better head unit (unless you've already bought the JVC...)
Secondly, answer Robert's question(s) in the post below mine.

We're here to help.

Did you want a single amp to run all your speakers and the subs or do you want seperate amps?

Do you have a dimensions limitation(did you want to stick this amp(s) under a seat or something?)

For the subs are you looking for straight up loudness, or are you more concerned about how accurate and good they sound?

I care. So does my .357 (And my Local Authorities ) An alarm can definitely be useful, but it's not the end be all to someone jacking your shit, but it might stop one guy from messing with your stuff.

What's the point/advantage of not having one?

im talking bout the ppl around u. Cops aren't everywhere, there aren't many good ppl in this world who will go and confront someone trying to jack shit from a car and putting their life on the line. So yes alarms r a waste if you have better things to invest in.

I bashed their Customer Service not their products and all that was was informing the guy who was given a recomm. of buying eD that they do have bad rep and i have had an experience with em and was just warning him so plz get your panties out of a twist . If u remember im using their products right now and yes i am knowledgable when it comes to car electronics and im glad u dont think so.

But does it hurt to have an alarm? I don't think so. If you've got the $ to be spending 1K plus on a system, you should help protect it and the car with an alarm.

My alarm I had stopped a guy from doing a hit and run. He dented my old camry, and tried to act like it was nothing, but the alarm went off and someone who heard the alarm called the cops and told him he better not leave. I came out from the store after hearing my car alarm, and saw the guy waiting for me with the witness, and soon after the cop showed up.

They aren't worthless at all IMO. Saved me 500 bucks deductable. And I save 5 % on my car insurance every month.
