lol, I've heard of the brands, and they are both good, but I would think the MMAT's would be more geared towards SPL. the TC Sounds are definitely a nice SQ sub, and can handle plenty of power to get loud.
Me personally, I'm saving up for the Peerless XXLS. While they're not as cosmetically pleasing to the eye, they are definitely some of the best sounding subs.
Because the TC2+ is the Soundsplinter RL-i -- which I have heard personally and highly recommend.
Haven't heard anything recent from MMATs -- nor would I touch it. They were big in the SPL circuit days when they were located in Florida. Since then, they've dropped quite a few notches in the quality of their products...

Can you link me to a site that sells the Soundsplinter?
MMats is still located in Florida... and I am pretty sure they still build quality stuff, but feel free to disprove me.
Didn't you say you have an MMAT's hookup? I'd try them out. They're different then what everyone else is running, and that's cool in my book. Let us know how they sound. I would think that the MMAT's sub would hit harder than the tc2+, you might want to compare the TC9 aka Soundsplinter RL-P. That sub would take better advantage of the power you have available.
I didn't know you already had it, how does it sound?
It sounds really good. It isn't properly hooked up (I have 10 Gauge wire running to it instead of 4, because I just uninstalled one of my older amps. Also the sub isn't screwed in, it just sits on top of the box, kind of a ghetto install. I will fix it within the next few days) I haven't broken it in yet, only have it turned about half way up. It's a pretty musical sub, and it hits when it needs to.
Oh, and yes, I do have a hook up on MMats. I pay somewhere around wholesale for all the products, cheaper than anywhere I''ve found on the internet, and I don't have to pay shipping as you would from ordering online.
