My audiobahn system.. keep or sell?

Hey guys, I need an opinion on what I should do

I just got a new system after my old sonys finally blew up

I got an Audiobahn system now.. pretty much

Amp: Audiobahn A18001DT
Subs: 2x Audiobahn AW1200N, wired to 1ohm

The problem is after I bought the system, I went searching around on the internet and found many people hating audiobahns, getting no respect and such and not sounding the best either. I've only owned sony so far and my friends don't have any systems

I got both new and at a good deal off ebay a few weeks ago, AMP:$180 Subs:$200 Box:$70

Do you think I should sell off the system and get something better or keep it?

And can someone recommend me a nice cheap capacitor? I'm tired of my headlights practically turning off when the bass hits

Thanks for you input

Capacitors dont work. There is a whole thread on it.

And for the price you payed for that setup you coulda bought my 2 MTX 5500's with a 1200w RMS MonoBlock amp.

Audiobahns are the Bling Bling of Amps....nothing but looks They are really cheap under all the chrome.

Sell it

if you have done the big 3 and have eliminate most of the bottlenecks and still get dimming, you can go with a capacitor. although this only pertains to like 2% of all problems

all a cap does(at least in this scenerio) is store energy so that it can prevent a larger voltage drop. the reason why this works, is because a cap with low resistance can discharge faster than a battery.

also, replacing the stock battery with a deep cell does not do the trick, typically deep cells have a higher discharge time

Have you had a chance to read the info on that article? They really don't do anything helpful. Have you ever done a A/B comparison with and without a cap playing the same sine wave?

Short answer: no.

I'm too tired to elaborate now, but stay tuned.

Definatley do the Big 3, I did on my car, I ripped out the origional 3 main wires on the battery system and replaced them with gold battery terminals and 4 gauge wire. Pretty simple: Battery to Ground - Battery to alternator - Alternator to ground
