Hey its me again with some questions...i recently purchased a pioneer deh-3700mp used from a friend who got a new deck. he also gave me a free pair of 8's and a box...they arent the best subs, but will do for the amount of bass i want (not much)...i also got a lightning audio 600watt peak 2 chan amp for 20bucks (REALLY low budget system here ) now i just have a problem with the wiring. where do i hide the wiring? i read the basic amp install sticky, but i dont know what trim pieces to remove to get the point where i could hide the wires. any help would be great! thanks
I couldn't find a hole in the firewall of my 05 Tacoma PreRunner...you know where it is Cam?
Near the brake master cylinder. don't run the power wire with all the other wires, it probably won't fit, instead, cut a small hole next to the bundle in the same grommet.
If that's what it takes, make sure to get a rubber grommet to use.
if you're runnin 8 gauge its fine, but i had 4 and that shit doesnt go through tight places well. 2 seconds with a drill is all it takes, throw a gormmet on it and run the wire under the carpet. If you're running speaker wires and RCA's with it, its a lot easier to take the front seats out too.

In my Gen2 1990 Camry the main wiring harness for the car goes through a large gromet behind the glove box that goes through the firewall. If you take out the glove box and open the gromet up a bit you can see light through there where u can stick a wire through
2 hours later and i still cant get the 8guage power wire through the cabin into the engine compartment ...i find an orange rubber thing where some wires are going through right behind the driver side dash speaker, but cant seem to get the wire through nor find where the hole in the engine compartment is. im thinking about going through the fender, but how do i reach it? got any step by step instructions for a noobie here? thanks
