use towels to fill up the empty space and it will wedge the rear deck kind of outwards and then it won't rattle anymore at all

Ensolite, RattlePad, or some type of foam would def. help.

i have one layer of peel and seal on the top of my trunk, one layer and mattress ridged foam on the rear panel, and the mattress ridged foam lined under the rear deck panel and it makes a WORLD of difference!

i took it off today to examine, its not really deck (the cardboardish part) that rattles but the lower metal deck where the speakers sit. i can literally see it move up and down when the bass hits.

i am running 1200w through a ported enclosure, so yea, you can imagine.

Mat the top and the bottom of the deck, then use ensolite foam inbetween. Ditch the rear speakers, more bass will get into the cabon, the deck will rattle less, and you won't be pulling your soundstage back. If you are using a 4 channel amp on all 4 speakers, bridge the amp to power your front speakers only.

I put a layer of Dynamat on the back side of the rear deck panel, another layer on the metal itself. Seemed to help a bit, but didn't completely solve the problem. The main source of the rattling on my 93 Camry was still the third brake light. I cleaned it up a bit, and then lined the inside of it with some silicone. It was also rattling against the rear window, so I put some weatherstripping foam between the window and the plastic. I found some black stuff so it doesn't look too "ghetto". Next I am taking the complete dashboard out to dampen it. It makes too much noise for me. I wouldn't normally use "Dynamat", but I bought out a storage unit from a car audio shop that went out of business a couple years ago. There was a bunch of bulk rolls of Dynamat, and all kinds of other stuff that I ended up with for $50 total.
