Active Setup Update....

Well I got it done, after being in the driveway for 7hrs. I got everything wired up & running.I still got some tweeking to do but for now it sound pretty decent.I think the Silver Flutes mids sound good for what I payed($58 shipped/pair). Compare to the ID mids(used w/passive x/o)the SF mid gets pretty loud & put out some decent bass. The mids are paired with some ID NX30 tweets, which I love very much.they sound so clear & detailed, not over bearing. One thing I would wish for is maybe one day Alpine can make the x/o selection by a push of a button, instead of under the HU itself....BTW,I have a question: Should I set the x/o switch on the amp for the mids to Hi-pass or Lo-Pass?.......Thnx for reading, any comments ,questions feel free to do so.Here are some comparison pix of the different mids, they are the Dayton RS180,ID CSX64 & the Silver Flute 6.5......http://photobucket.com/albums/v476/louski/

Tomorrow, digicam died on me taking those pix.I forgot to mention I also redid the trunk,I turned the ID subs around facing the taillights & made the enclosure bigger. All is left to do is some trim panels, the hard part is over atleast.

Neither. Is there a full range setting or a way to turn off the x-over on the amp?

You don't need the x-over on the amp, since your using the one built into your headunit.
