Well, I've been done for a while, but here's some pics...

Head Unit is an Alpine CDA 9825. Works pretty well, and I think its a good deck for something "entry level", seeing as this is my first system.

HU off:

HU on:

Since I mounted my amps under my front seats, I didn't want to run all my wires to one side or another of my car. So I just ran the power wire under the front seat and under the center console. I then carved out three holes (one 4 AWG for the power wire to come into, and two 8 AWG for the power wires going the amps) in the bottom of the console. I think it turned out pretty nice.

Fused D-Block in my center console

And then finally I got the subs and box in my trunk. No carpet or anything yet, but I don't have a ton of time to be playin' with my car any more. I'm gonna hold off until I graduate college and get a second vehicle before I start any major projects on the cam. Anyway, here are some trunk shots of the subs.

Oh, and any comments, suggestions, criticisms, tom-foolery, shinanigans or anything of the like will be greatly appreciated!

I had the 9825. thats a great HU but lacks in features. I alpine.

But anyway, thats a great box there, but you should get something in it other than the subs you got now. I mean if they work for ya then great. But you could definatley do better with such a awsome lookin box.

Great job

Well, I bought the deck, subs and speakers before I really got into all this stuff, so I wasn't doing the proper research. The subs actually sound great to me, and all my friends really like my system, so it must sound decent. And what can you say, I got the par for under $100. I know, I wish I would have waited a little longer on the deck, since the 984X series is way cheaper now than what I paid for this one a year ago, but oh well, you live and you learn. I know the wiring is kinda mess, but overall I think its decent for not having hardly any free time to do all this in. Elapsed time for this project: 9 months, give or take, since I go to college and work part time, and have other "obligations." Anyway, thanks for the comments! (Cam, youre such a smart ass )

What are those 2 box looking things inside the enclosure? Theres one on each side.

Ports? Brace? Looks kinda funny to be a brace though.

No I haven't yet. I'm thinking about flipping it around sometime, but I just got both subs hooked up last week or so, so I don't feel like messing with it just yet.

I just got a 2006 Camry LE and I'm interested in finding out which gives the best sound, facing forward or back. I've always owned hatchbacks before this and bounced off the rear window...

Nice looking box, BTW.

From my experience, rear facing(towards the taillights)sounds the best.Deaden ur trunk lid, rear deck & the entire trunk area. Also I recommend taking out the rear speakers, trust me on this.

I might flip it around then, but I don't wanna remove my speakers. I have a lot of guests in my car, and they like they way it sounds back there, and I don't want to deprive them. is there anyway I could make kicks for my back dash to house some 6x9's? I think that might be something cool to try. Any ideas? pics? Thoughts?
