So i have a Alpine 4-channel amplifier. 4 Alpine 3-way 6x9" speakers. and i used to have a alpine HU (im gonna get another one).

So my question is how are alpine subwoofers? I know that the alpines at best buy are junk. but how about the X-type? and other models. (not Type R or S) Do they make a V12 subwoofer?

Im just thinkin about doing my car all alpine. and then after that replacing the fronts with alpine components.

The Type-X is a very nice sub. Pricey though. And the Type-X components are very nice for the money.

The headunit's-If you are going to get an Alpine, try to get an '04 model 9835. '05's are well, how can I say this...Not very good.

When I was researching subs (3 years ago) I narrowed my search down to Alpine and JL. I ended up choosing a single JL 12w3 (which has been thumping for 3 years) but I remember reading lots of good things about the higher end Alpine subs.

I did end up getting an Alpine HU, the CDA 7995. I like it...
