Ok fellow TN'ers, I admit it.

I am a JL Audio whore. I am obsessed with JL Audio, sadly though, my wallet cannot match up with my sick obsession. I am madly in love with the JL ZR650-CSi Component speakers

http://mobile.jlaudio.com/products_c...php?comp_id=65

but I simply cannot afford them. Can somebody recommend a comparable alternative?

Price range being $500 or lower please

Why're you obsessed with JL? Have you ever heard other stuff out there?

I don't know why, I really don't. I know it doesn't sound the best, and I know its way overpriced. I just LOVE it, and i dont know why.

Care to answer my questions.

Do this, get the JL XR's, put that other 300 into sound proofing and deadening.

2 way unless you wanna do some custom kicks. Are you planning on wiring active? If so, we can do MUCH better than the JL's.

while on the topic...are JBL and JL the same thing?

I have JBL Floorstanding speakers for my home surround system and they are awsome.
But JL's car audio wise seem to be all hype? am i right on this assumption?

Yeah I will get around to wiring active eventually. I am not familiar with car video so is it possible to have TV's hooked up your stereo while it is wired active?
