Good HU with mp3 port

I'm looking for a good HU with a mp3 port for plugging in an Ipod. I like the Pioneer Premier DEH-P860MP, but $300 is a little much right now. So, I'm looking for something that has good EQ and an mp3 port for around $100-200. I'm a fan of Pioneer. Alpine's good too. But I'll go with anything inside that price range. Any suggestions?

you get what you pay for in terms of HU's. Personally, I say save $$$$ and go for the pioneer, the 860 is Ta tas personally, just look around, you'd be AMAZED at features and prices, shops should be clearing out old models so hapy hunting

If your looking for a HU on the cheaper side, JVC has a few models with an AUX port right on the front that you can hook an MP3 player into. They aren't that bad a unit for the price.

Sorry to bring back an old post, but it's better than making a new thread...but I was just wondering if you guys knew of any Pioneer or Alpine HUs with an aux input right on the face? seems more convenient than hooking up an adapter through the back. I'm looking for them, but I can't seem to find any with the aux input on the front.

I haven't seen any HU that has such a feature. You can however, get a cord to extend the input. My HU had two RCA inputs and I bought a 6 ft RCA to miniplug wire from RadioShack and ran that under the dash and comes on the passenger side footwell. Hope this helps somewhat...

Hmm...Yeah that helps a lot actually, I didn't think of putting it through the footwell, that'd look a lot cleaner than what I would've done. And a aux input on the faceplate would look tacky thinking about it. I just need to find a decent 100-200 HU.

my old aiwa stereo (years ago) had one, i doubt they still make it. On my pioneer i have the adapater to hook up anything via 2rca ports (goes in via the cd changer plug) and that is hidden inside the cubby below the stereo and what i want to use it i plug in my 1/8" plug to RCA adapater and an ipod and it works great.
