Couple Questions (HU ? and Profile Amp ?)

Cam, or anyone with experience with these amps...
What do they bench at? what kind of efficiency are we talkin here? They're real tempting on millionbuy right now, and I DO have a second job, which means I could probably fork over a little dough for something "better" than what I have (MTX).

Oh yeah, and my pops has an 86 bimmer (7 series) and wants to do a little upgrading, though his cash is well, non-existent, so I was thinking about picking him up a HU for xmas, only I don't have a ton of loot myself. When I spoke with him last, he mentioned something about an i-pod jack to adapt to the stock stereo, but I told him it wouldn't be worth it (since he'd have to go buy an i-pod anyway (200 bucks)). I was hoping to find something "affordable" (read: cheap ($100 range)) but still of good quality and MP3 capable. I suppose pre-outs aren't a big deal, but I was also hoping to get something that he could use with a couple amps for an upgraded system later down the road. I suppose we could just do a line-out if need be, but I'm prolly getting too far ahead of myself. Anyway, who has any suggestions?

What kind of power do you need(and how many channels) for an amp. And what were you plannig on spending on the Profile amp? Are you concerned about warranty? Did you see those NEXT amps I just bought?

250 bucks for 3 amps- 4 x 82 wrms, 2 x 160 wrms, and 500 watts rms x 1.

But Profile is ok I guess, I never liked the idea of running them in my install personally. But if they work

For a cheap headunit, watch my friends ebay ads Seller Daveds50 He's always listing decent used headunits under 80 bucks. And they come with a warranty too
