subs with 6x9's in rear deck

does anyone have subs with a pair of 6x9's in the rear or any sort of speaker, ive been told to get rid of them cause the subs will distort them and to just get components in the front but im spending enough money on subs soon enough so maybe next year. If anyone has this set up what did you do to "insulate" the 6x9's, ive heard baffels around them and then some edead over would work but im just looking for alternative ideas, do you think baffels will be sturdy enough cause i would think they would give with the sp from the subs.

i have 6x9's on the rear deck and yea it distorts them but i am planning on doing something for that...i plan to make the rear deck kinda like a box so no air from the subs distorts them. If anyone wants to call me stupid, dumb, retarded or insane go ahead.

I dont have any problems. I heard from a friend that if you do put some styrfoam around the speakers and it will clear it up, but since ive never had interferance i couldnt tell you if it really works or not

haha ok so you do have distortion in the 6x9's u just cant hear it, ok that makes more sense. I think im going to stick with the baffels for this year and next year try to get components in the front and take out the rears but this should be ok for now. I think they sound good right now without the subs but thats prob cause i dont know what great is and im planning on just setting my eq on my hu to normal or vocal just to bring out the highs a bit more

So what would you put in the rear's if you can't have 6x9's? would you put 6.5's or would you just delete them all together?

well seeing as how im a lil car crazy...im going to weld a piece of sheet metal under the rear deck and make it like a box and insulate it. i have 2 10" L5s and yea mine distort a lil bit, i can actually hear them more than the front spealers obviously cuz i have an amp to them
