ok so for my 21st bday i think my parents are gonna get me a portable GPS unit that ive been asking for

ive been looking at the TomTom's and the Magellan Roadmate's. does anyone have any experience with these or any other? any recommendations?

How much are you wanting to spend?

You get get an Eclipse or Pioneer head unit that has GPS built in, and also plays DVDs and CD's

i already have an eclipse av8022.. no optional nav unit for this one cuz its older.. plus i want the portability.. lookin at ~500
