Let's say $200 for the components, I'll probably be getting the ID10v3 for $100 for my sub, so $200 for components sounds good.

Also, is my amp going to be able to power the components and the sub? Or should I get another amp as well?

Thanks for the help!

personally I would get a mono class D amp for the subs, a little chunk of $ well spent www.mtxaudio.com the 6x9's would be fine off of it though

Knailgun I gotta disagree with you on getting a Class D amp in this situation. A Class Ab amp will have better sound quality then a class D. If he was going for SPL with over 1K watts, I might reccomend class D too. But when using a good sound quality sub in a sealed enclosure that doesn't need over 300 watts, you might as well go with the cleaner Class AB power. Efficiency shouldn't really be an issue here to warrant the use of a class D amp.

Not only that but he can go with a 4 channel amp to run everything without a second mono channel amp. Makes life a little bit easier if you don't need a bunch of power for subs.

For about 200 shipped BNIB, I always reccomend the Alpine SPX-177R (Type-X 6.5")Components or the JL XR650 Components.

If you are willing to buy used you can find nicer speakers in the price range, but you gotta do some searching and know what to look for. So usually either of those two choices are good. Try giving them a listen at a car audio shop or Circuit City, they usually have those up on display. Retail price is WAY higher, so definitely buy online.

The Soundstream amp will probably be enough power for the system. Give it a shot. If you feel the need for more power to the sub get a 2 channel amp that does about 100 watts rms x 2, then bridge it. Then use the Soundstream amp on the front components alone. You can bridge the amp, or Bi-Wire it into the passive crossovers. (Bridging will be easier)

For the sub make sure you get the Dual 2 ohm version.
