Ok im going active. Im getting a 3-way Setup of Alpine X-Types hooked to 2 Alpine MRP - F240 (i think thats the model).

My question is: Do you use both Front and Back RCA signals from the HU on the 3-way setup? Im not going to have any rear fill so this is why i ask. Or do i just work off the front signal? Does the Mid-bass work of the subwoofer channel or just the regular front/back channels?

And one more question: Is it better to have a Sealed Box with Sepearate Chambers or to have both subwoofers share the same Airspace. My old subs shared the same airspace @ 3.1 Cu. Ft.

as long as they are the same exact subs, i believe they can share the same airspace..

A panasonic CQ-7301u It has electronic High/low pass filters.

lemme know how you like the hu, panasonic makes some pretty decent home audio stuff...

i dunno about their car audio stuff, i have heard they have had some problems, but who doesnt...

Not sure if you are aware, or if you've learned in the past few days but that headunit is not going to control an Active setup.

no in understand that thats why im getting rid of it. Im probably gonna get a Alpine 9855 HU.

The '04 9835 is what I'd rec. if you're going to go with an Alpine.

Here's what I recommend:

Eclipse 8053 (just ignore Rob's horror story) ~$350 brand new in box
Pioneer Premier 860MP ~ same
Alpine 9835 ~ if you can still find one new, they'll run you about $300 in MINT condition.

There are plenty of options available to you depending "how old school" you wanna get and exactly what kinda bells n' whistles you want/need.

Those are my top 3 for your purposes.
