New toy(s)

I decided to part ways with my Sony CDX-C910 (seen below).

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...MESE%3AIT&rd=1

And in its place...

Alpine DVA-9860

paired with... (PXA-H701)

and... (RUX-C701)

I got the DVA-9860 thru a Best Buy employee accomodation. Paid $310 shipped...

Still working a deal on the H701 and C701... (possible trade + cash with my C910).

The bottom-most item is the RUX-C701 controller. It controls EVERYTHING the H701 has to offer. Technically, the 9860 can do it too, but the ergonomics aren't that great nor intuitive... Not to mention, the C701 and 9860 just look badass together in a double-DIN opening.

As for invididual prices... I'm not quite sure yet on the H701/RUX. I'll get back to you on that later. As for the price on the DVA-9860 -- see above.

And thanks for bumping the price up for me... Hopefully, I either trade it or it sells for a reasonable price so I can get an H701...

Just wanted to see what that will look like...

Not too shabby Can you change the colors on either one to make them match?

Yup.

Although the DVA-7996 would be a direct match (see below):

http://iweb.alpine-usa.com/pls/admn/...in=30&p_more=y

But, I'm not about to spend 5 large ones for it...

Whats your reserve at?? I want to bump it up right below that so that the next bidder buys it, but I don't want to have to buy it myself

I believe Alpine makes/ made a non DVD player version, I think it was called the 9833R I think. It has the green lighting and if I can get my hands on one, thats what I wanna get. My buddy has one in his Dodge Ram and the thing is quite nice.

Yeah...9835R too if you can find one (w/o importing straight from the UK)...

Only reason I'm using the 9860 is for the optical output...
