Question $150 for sub and amp

Hello everyone. First, I want to say thank you to everyone in this forum. You guys are so imformative and knowledgable in car audio. I was just wondering if it would be possible to get a sub and an amp for $150. I'm a beyond poor college student. I dont want a huge sub, but just something to go along with my audio. I feel my 01 camry is lacking bass, so I would like just a little extra bass, not the trunk rattling type, just something decent. I am about to purchase a pioneer p6700mp. Thanks in advance for all the help.

check around bud, you can get stuff that cheap....but personally you get what you pay for in terms of Car audio. Personally, sink the $150 into a good amplifier and add some $$$ to that also

Yep.

Recycler ads work well too.

eBay is your best bet.

My buddy just purchased an old school Soundstream Rubicon 12" for $70 shipped and a NEXT VRz 2.400 for $85...

You're welcome to contact me on AIM/Yahoo/MSN (either one) if you want and provided I have a couple spare minutes, I could point you in the right direction or tell ya what to look for...

Does that budget include the box and the wiring?

Also, what are you paying for the 6700 Pioneer? Maybe we can get you something higher up in model for the same money. There's plenty of deals online for headunits.

For $175 SHIPPED I will send you a JL Audio 12W0 and a 2 week old VR3 amp to push it, and that also includes a 225 Watt Amp wiring kit..

Yeah that's pretty good actually. That's a decent reliable headunit. All you really need unless you are getting really into it.

I've been reading about the big 3 and deadening the trunk. Should I consider this if I just want a little more bass. I'm not looking to go all out. Thanks.

No not really. Maybe the deadening if you have the time, money, energy to do so.

I'm still trying to find something decent for 150 bucks inluding amp, sub and enclosure. Then you have shipping too

Maybe I could save a little more. Possibly $175 to $200. But for now, $150 is about all I have. I really appreciate all of your guys' help.
