Sorry, this is kinda long. And after reading this, you can tell that I'm just all over the place. Thanks in advance for any info. Your help is much appreciated!!
Listed at the bottom are the setups I had back-in-the-day. As you can see, I had some OKAY stuff mixed with a lotta CRAP (hey, I was a poor college student). Now, I have some money to play with ($1500-2000). I'm just deciding on what setup to go with. I'm kinda wavering between front:comps, rear:mids and subs sometime in the future, or leaving out subs altogether (I'm getting older, not much of a basshead anymore - but always an option for later). Or get subs and leave rears out. For one - I don't wanna mix amps. If I got Diamond, I wanna get all Diamond (this is if I decide to upgrade later on). I think I want to just get one amp for now. My main focus is to move forward and get a better setup than my previous cars.
And the other thing I'm debating on is going passive or active. I'm sure everyone is going to say ACTIVE. Now, I'm going to admit - I'm lazy. I'm barely convincing myself sound deaden the doors let alone setting up active. So I'm gonna need some convincing to go one way or the other. I don't think I want to spend a lot of time working on this first setup. I wanna quick awesome install and improve later.
So with those two issues, it's a debate whether to get:
1) two 4-ch amps (active setup - comps, mids, subs)
2) one 4-ch amp, one 2-ch (active setup - comps, mids)
3) one 4-ch amp, one 1-ch (passive setup - comps, mids, subs)
4) one 4-ch amp (passive setup - comps, mids)
SO HERE'S WHAT I'M TRYING TO GET TO: (I welcome any general advice also!)
Options:
JL Audio 450/4 (now) and JL Audio 500/1 (later for sub)
Diamond D65.2 (now) and Diamond D5 300.2 (later for sub)
Memphis 16-MCA3004 and Memphis 16-MCA300
...Any other recommedations? (possibly RF, eDi)

I'd say go passive if you're going to be using the stock headunit. You'd have to use a good electronic crossover to control an active setup and it sounds like you want to keep it simple.
Are you happy with the Eurosports? If so keep those, those are pretty decent.
Where do you plan on mounting your amp? If under the seat then that's going to limit yourself from alot of options.
I think sound deadening the front doors and at least one 10" sub is a must for any system worth dropping a little bit of money into.
I reccomend Raammat and Ensolite foam for deadenin/sound proofing.
For an amp, you can look into a nice 5 channel amp to keep everything simple. With your budget I think the Arc Audio 5150XXK is a good choice. For a sub, the Arc Audio 10D4 will work perfect off the sub channel. Then you can bridge the amp and run it passive, or if your passive crossovers allow biwiring you can use the 4 channels to the passive crossovers. This way you'll at least be able to control the gain between the tweeters and mids and you can somewhat tailor it to your liking.
I had a funnie feelin' you were going to chime in. Actually, I was hoping to hear from ya and I'm thankful you answered. I'm glad that you understand my need to "keep it simple". Right on the button, buddy! Like always, you're awesome DOOOD!!!
LOL! That's all gonna depend on how much you charge, BUDDY! Expert installation would definitely be nice, but I think I can handle it on my own. I just have to hope and pray that I won't be poking a hole thru any woofers when I'm holding my breath, sweating bullets and screwing them in place.
As for the eurosports, I hope it's not my funeral, but I picked them out seeing them on your "what's good" list and they were on sale on wooferetc for 4 bills. So, I haven't heard them, but I keep hearing praises about CDT. I've been jumping around a lot this past year about what to get. Started with polk, then MB Q, focal, cdt, eDi, DLS, dynaudio, and now I'm back on CDT because of that sale.
Amp is going to go behind rear passenger seat. Now I gotta figure out a box that I can squeeze in (cuz I'm not too keen on cutting stuff out - being that situation with the tacotunes or Marv's box). I'm more a remove/replace kinda guy. Don't wanna be cutting hooks out that I may need later on. Definitely going with Raammat (hearing that's the best way to go).
I'm sure Arc has underrated power, but you think 45W is enuff for the CDT's? And I thought I was gonna be BANGIN' with the 150W from the JL 450/4. hehehe
One more question - I see that the wiring from the tacoma radio has separated the tweets and the woofer. Is this right? And if so, do I take both and wire them to a channel on the LOC or just grab one of the signals to output it thru?

Thanks a bunch!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes they are seperated. The crossover point is made at the tweeter. What I would do is make the connection to the LOC right after the headunit in back of it.
Hey if you're interested I'm selling my Diamond Audio D5600.2 2 channel amp.
