VIP RS entry/alarm?

Just bought a 2002 truck, and it came the the VIP/RS stuff. It seems like its just a remote entry thing, nit an alarm. Can I attach an engine starter to this system? Is there a better way? I think I'd like to have an alarm.

Depend if it equipped with an auxillary channel on the remote and a aux. out wire on the module.

OEM alarms do not have auxiliary channels typically, but you can still add a remote start. Most remote starters have a feature that will start the car while still keeping the car armed: a semi-bypass of the OEM alarm. Then use the OEM remote to finally disarm the vehicle.

You sure can. I have an Avital remote starter attached to my stock VIP alarm on my 2000 Camry XLE. I can use either remote control to arm/disarm the alarm.
